That Doggy in the Window

Project Overview

Wakefield Website Design recently completed an e-commerce website for That Doggy in the Window, a brand-new pet supplies store based in Garforth, Leeds. This project aimed to create a seamless online shopping experience while integrating with the store’s physical location for efficient inventory and payment management.

Key Features & Solutions

E-commerce Development

We designed and developed a fully functional e-commerce store that allows customers to browse and purchase a wide range of dog products, from premium food to accessories and toys. The website features a user-friendly interface, intuitive navigation, and a mobile-optimised experience for seamless shopping on any device.

Square Integration

To ensure a smooth operation between the physical store and the online shop, we integrated Square’s payment and inventory system. This allows That Doggy in the Window to:

• Accept secure online payments through Square Pay.
• Keep stock levels synchronised between the website and the retail store.
• Manage orders efficiently, reducing the risk of overselling.

SEO Optimisation

A beautiful website is only effective if customers can find it. Our SEO strategy included:

• Keyword research tailored to the pet industry.
• On-page SEO enhancements (meta descriptions, alt tags, structured data).
• Optimised product pages with high-quality content.
• Google My Business setup to enhance local search visibility.

High-Speed Hosting & Security

To provide the best user experience, we deployed the website on high-performance hosting with:

• Fast-loading pages for improved customer retention.
• SSL encryption for secure transactions.
• Scalable infrastructure to support future business growth.
